Ford Ranger Raptor to Remain On Foreign Shores

Long Missed Truck Returns.

Ford announced the return of its long-missed midsize truck following a five-year absence from the United States market. Naturally, this caused a stir among enthusiasts who began speculating on the return of the Ford Ranger Raptor model. For now, though, it looks as though that model will remain on foreign shores.

The Ford Ranger Raptor features a stiffer suspension and more ground clearance than the base truck. It also includes a Terrain Management System that can handle anything. It will also be available with a 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel engine.

Pictures of a camouflaged model generated some excitement about the rough, tough pickup variant making its way back to the United States. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case. While the rest of the world will get to enjoy the off-road model, Americans will have to settle for the capable Ford Ranger.

Coming Soon.

Soon to be available here at Bill Walsh Ford, the 2019 Ford Ranger is much larger than when it left the market years ago. It will be available with different grilles depending on the model. An aluminum tailgate with a spoiler allows for better aerodynamics as well.

All-new for North America, the Ford Ranger features a full-boxed frame and specific suspension tuning that should result in best-in-class payload capacities. A 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is the only confirmed powertrain. It will come mated to the advanced 10-speed automatic transmission found in other Ford models.

As for technology, the 2019 Ford Ranger will feature standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa compatibility. Drivers will also enjoy advanced safety features, such as a rearview camera and Automatic Emergency Braking.

Although the Ford Ranger Raptor won’t be heading to America soon, we at Bill Walsh Ford can’t wait for the 2019 Ford Ranger to arrive on our lot.
