A Look into the future.
The Ford Mustang Bullitt became a cinema icon thanks to its starring role in the 1968 movie Bullitt. Rumors of a new Mustang Bullitt have been making their rounds, and now there’s more evidence it may be arriving in the near future.
The rumors began when Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson visited a Ford wind tunnel and accidentally gave enthusiasts a peek at what could be a Mustang Bullitt. Prior to that, a dealer sticker for a Mustang “Bullitt GT” was posted on the Mustang6G forum. Sticker details included a V8 engine and Highland Green Metallic paint.
Now, more evidence has surfaced suggesting an all-new Mustang Bullitt GT is really in the works. Pictures of a real car, not artwork or a concept design, were posted on the Mustang6G forum. The photos are of the car filming a commercial.
Regardless of whether or not a real Mustang Bullitt is on the way, the car in the photos features a Highland Green paintjob, no spoiler, and black Torq Thrust wheels. Those are all traits of the past Mustang Bullitt, and they aren’t available on any current 2018 Ford Mustang.
Considering 2018 marks the 50th anniversary of Bullitt, an anniversary model wouldn’t be out of the question.
We here at Bill Walsh Ford hope to see a new Ford Mustang Bullitt in the new future!
